My trip to mauritius: Black River Gorges Park

Situated in between the hills in the south west  part of Mauritius, the black river gorges is surrounded by mountains and wild forest, the hills form a valley where the black river bed lies in the very bottom of this beautiful spot.

It covers an area of 67.54 km² including humid upland forest drier lowland forest and marshy land. Facilities for visitors include two information centres, picnic areas and 60 kilometres of trails. There are four field stations in the park which are used for National Parks and Conservation Service, research and conservation projects.
